Stephen Jordan

President, ISRC

Stephen Jordan serves as President of ISRC and CEO of ISRC’s partner organization, the Institute for Sustainable Development. He also serves alongside ISRC CEO David Dodd as Co-Managing Partner of Return on Resilience, Inc., a public benefit corporation. In these roles, his strategic direction focuses on community innovation and economic resilience. 

Stephen is dedicated to effective partnership facilitation and robust recovery planning. Stephen has a broad background in both disaster resilience/recovery and economic development.  He has experience throughout the U.S. and in several other countries. He believes in the power of collaboration, leading Los Angeles’ “LA Together” initiative during COVID, going on to help local businesses during and after the 2025 Los Angeles wildfires. 

Stephen also served as Co-Founder of IO Sustainability, Co-Founder and Executive Director of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Business Civic Leadership Center, and Executive Director of the Association of American Chambers of Commerce in Latin America. He holds a Master of Arts in Political Theory and Comparative Government from the University of Virginia and a MBA in Marketing and Finance from Georgetown University.
